Sugar, sugar, sugar – everybody wants something with sugar in it. We’ve learned so much about whether it is good for us or not. The truth is that some of it is good tasting yet we need to know how to use it.
At the end of 2015 the Federal Food & Drug Administration stepped up to the plate and said sugar needs to be controlled. I love that message because they didn’t say to eliminate it. I think if we eliminated it, we would have to find another planet to live on. But since we are going to stay here on Earth, we need to understand how to use it effectively. The nutritional information in the Lean and Luscious cookbooks does not contain sugar gram information; but now, we are happy to advise a chart is available showing you how to count sugar depending on the size and servings of the recipe you choose. Even if you are cooking for one, information is available. You can print that chart and have it in your house or you can pull it up on our Lean and Luscious website.
We are excited to be able to pay attention and compliment the FDA and doing so, the truth is we are complimenting ourselves. A little bit is good – a whole lot not so!
So it appears we are going to continue living here on Earth. Let’s use and enjoy the recipes in Lean and Luscious and Lean and Luscious Meatless now containing sugar gram information. When it calls for honey, brown sugar or molasses, we know exactly how many sugar grams to count which makes the Lean and Luscious cookbooks even friendlier than before.
