Breakfast Couscous

The PERFECT alternative to your morning oatmeal! SO simple and quick to prepare!

Recipe Ingredients:

makes 4 servings

Recipe found in Millie Snyder's Mediterranean Cookbook, P 131


  • ½ cup skim milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup

  • 2 tablespoons golden raisins

  • ¼ cup uncooked couscous

 

Cooking Directions:


In a small saucepan, combine milk, vanilla, maple syrup, and golden raisins.

 

Heat, stirring constantly, until hot and steamy. Do not boil.

 

Stir in couscous, cover, remove from heat.

 

Let stand 5 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

 

This breakfast recipe is so easy to prepare and SO filling!
